Andy Rementer ritrae tutto ci\u00f2 che vede intorno a s\u00e9 fino a condensarlo in un mondo visivo colorato e misterioso. Il suo linguaggio pittorico figurativo si esplicita secondo diverse tecniche: la pittura ad olio, opere su carta e sculture.<\/p>\n

I suoi soggetti, si delineano secondo sagome che ricordano forme scultoree statuarie e racchiudono una moltitudine di sentimenti perduti che sembrano lasciare sospese le emozioni, invitando lo spettatore ad immergersi in questi momenti di riflessione. Rementer \u00e8 interessato ad osservare la vita di tutti i giorni per tradurre in pittura la realt\u00e0 con pochi dettagli e con elementi essenziali accuratamente desunti dalla sua immaginazione.<\/p>\n

L\u2019artista si lascia ispirare da riferimenti tratti dalla storia dell\u2019arte, da Giotto a L\u00e9ger, le composizioni pittoriche di Rementer sembrano reali, ma al contempo surreali. Le sottili sfumature dei suoi dipinti ad olio esaltano la ricchezza fino a far affiorare una leggera inquietudine. Gran parte delle scene di Rementer sono caratterizzate da colorati interni e paesaggi urbani, in modo tale che lo spettatore possa di interrogarsi sulle vite ed i pensieri interiori dei soggetti ritratti.<\/p>\n

Oltre agli Stati Uniti, Rementer ha partecipato in numerose mostre in Asia ed in Europa, tra cui Corea del Sud, Giappone, Regno Unito, Francia e Germania. Ha esposto alla Everyday Mooonday Gallery, Seoul (2021), Fondazione Benetton, Treviso (2017), Commune Gallery, Tokyo (2015), Somerset House, Londra (2014), Centre Pompidou, Parigi (2006).<\/p>\n

After\u00a0her studies at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Florence, she moves to Rome in 1946. Together with her future husband, Antonio Sanfilippo, they found Forma 1 in 1947, with also Turcato, Attardi, Perilli, Dorazio and Guerrini. The Group considers the geometric lines\u00a0as pure form toward abstraction and formalism, rejecting any link of continuity with the Italian painting of the last twenty years. After\u00a0the group Forma 1 breaks-up in 1951, Accardi continues her abstract, but concrete, research until 1952 and from 1954 she starts painting in black and white \u2013 the Negativi<\/i>. In\u00a01961, she reintroduces colours in her compositions, obtaining also optical effects. Accardi joins the Continuit\u00e0 Group, and prepares solo exhibitions\u00a0in\u00a0New York and\u00a0London. In\u00a0the 1970s,\u00a0she works with glazes on terracotta tiles and paints repeated geometric patterns on sicofoil,\u00a0transparent plastic instead of canvas. Using large sheets, she completes a series of works that investigate the relationship with the environment: Tenda<\/i> and Tripla tenda <\/i>for Galleria Editalia of Rome and for Venice Biennale 1976, Ambiente\/Arte Section. She participates at Venice Biennale in 1948, 1964, 1976, 1978, 1993 and in 1988 she is given a personal room. In the 1980s, Accardi returns to two-dimensional with the sequences of the Parentesi<\/i> and Capricci<\/i>. She exhibits in solo and group exhibitions abroad.\u00a0In 1996, Accardi is\u00a0named Accademico di Brera in Milan and in 1997 she receives the Cavaliere di Gran Croce.<\/p>\r\n\u00a0\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n\u00a0\r\n
