Il lavoro di MP5 \u00e8 noto per l\u2019incisivo bian\u00adco e nero usato in differenti media. Gli studi di scenografia per il teatro e di animazio\u00adne hanno, infatti, contribuito a sviluppare la sua ricerca in diversi ambiti, dalle installa\u00adzioni audio\/video agli interventi murali, fino ad arrivare ai progetti legati al teatro di ri\u00adcerca. Le sue immagini rimandano all\u2019arte classica, dando forma a un immaginario che sottende una visione critica e politi\u00adcamente impegnata della realt\u00e0. L\u2019artista, fortemente presente nella scena artistica underground e nella controcultura europea, negli ultimi dieci anni \u00e8 diventat* un* de* pi\u00f9 significativ* artist* del movimento trans queer femmi\u00adnista. Lo stesso pseudonimo deriva dalla volont\u00e0 di scavalcare l\u2019appartenenza a un genere predefinito.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le sue opere sono state esposte in festival e musei tra cui la Biennale dei Giovani Artisti dell\u2019Europa e del Mediterraneo, La Galleria Nazionale d\u2019Arte Moderna di Roma, il Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi a Venezia, \u00a0il Centro Pecci a Prato, Il Museo Macro a Roma, La Condition Publique di Roubaix, il Theatre National di Bruxelles, l\u2019Art Plus Art Fair a Shanghai. I suoi lavori pubblici sono dislocati in tutto il mondo in nazioni come\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 l\u2019 Inghilterra, la Spagna, la Francia, la Germania, l\u2019Italia, la Croazia, la Slovenia, la Svezia, U.S.A e in Cina.<\/p>\n

MP5 ha collaborato con la galleria\u00a0Wunderkammern in Italia, con la galleria Lazarides in inghilterra, con il brand Gucci, con la designer e gallerista Agn\u00e8s B e con il regista Abel Ferrara. Ha rappresentato l\u2019Italia per il progetto \u201cLa Tour 13\u201d a Parigi.<\/p>\n

I suoi artwork e dipinti murali sono stati pubblicati su innumerevoli magazines come Rolling Stone, i-D Vice, Le Monde Diplomatique, Vogue, No-Man\u2019s land- The Wing, Juxtapoz, Cosmopolitan.<\/p>\n

Attualmente collabora con il brand Gucci alla campagna globale per la gender equality \u201cChime for Change\u201d.<\/p>\n

After\u00a0her studies at the Accademia delle Belle Arti in Florence, she moves to Rome in 1946. Together with her future husband, Antonio Sanfilippo, they found Forma 1 in 1947, with also Turcato, Attardi, Perilli, Dorazio and Guerrini. The Group considers the geometric lines\u00a0as pure form toward abstraction and formalism, rejecting any link of continuity with the Italian painting of the last twenty years. After\u00a0the group Forma 1 breaks-up in 1951, Accardi continues her abstract, but concrete, research until 1952 and from 1954 she starts painting in black and white \u2013 the Negativi<\/i>. In\u00a01961, she reintroduces colours in her compositions, obtaining also optical effects. Accardi joins the Continuit\u00e0 Group, and prepares solo exhibitions\u00a0in\u00a0New York and\u00a0London. In\u00a0the 1970s,\u00a0she works with glazes on terracotta tiles and paints repeated geometric patterns on sicofoil,\u00a0transparent plastic instead of canvas. Using large sheets, she completes a series of works that investigate the relationship with the environment: Tenda<\/i> and Tripla tenda <\/i>for Galleria Editalia of Rome and for Venice Biennale 1976, Ambiente\/Arte Section. She participates at Venice Biennale in 1948, 1964, 1976, 1978, 1993 and in 1988 she is given a personal room. In the 1980s, Accardi returns to two-dimensional with the sequences of the Parentesi<\/i> and Capricci<\/i>. She exhibits in solo and group exhibitions abroad.\u00a0In 1996, Accardi is\u00a0named Accademico di Brera in Milan and in 1997 she receives the Cavaliere di Gran Croce.<\/p>\r\n\u00a0\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n\u00a0\r\n
