Mucciaccia Contemporary di Giulia Abate \u00e8 lieta di presentare Flickering Light, <\/em>la prima mostra personale di Sue Arrowsmith a Roma dedicata alla sua nuova produzione, l\u2019esposizione sar\u00e0 in programmazione da gioved\u00ec 20 aprile sino al 21 giugno 2023.<\/p>\n

Alla base del lavoro di Sue Arrowsmith v\u2019\u00e8 il tema della natura. La mostra \u00e8 un poetico racconto in cui fiori e fogliami si spiegano tremolanti nella luce attraverso un\u2019alchimia di materiali. L\u2019uso di pregiati elementi come foglie d\u2019oro e altri metalli preziosi sovrapposti, sui quali il colore \u00e8 diluito, riflette la luce evocando una sensazione eterea. \u00c8 l\u2019artista stessa ad affermare di essere interessata \u201ca esplorare i temi della luce, del gesto e dello spazio attraverso l’energia e il ritmo della creazione di segni”.<\/p>\n

Nel catalogo edito in occasione del progetto espositivo \u00e8 incluso un testo critico di Antonello Tolve, il quale riflettendo sulla pratica della Arrowsmith afferma: \u201dl\u2019artista concepisce un raffreddato romanticismo che non smette di palpitare anche se interseca alle note del cuore quelle dell\u2019intelletto (l\u2019esercizio crudele della lucidit\u00e0 analitica), raffinato nel delineare, nel tratteggiare, nel rievocare fantasmagoriche e a tratti paradisiache notazioni di natura\u201d.<\/p>\n

In occasione della mostra \u00e8 stata edita una pubblicazione della Mucciaccia Contemporary Edizioni.<\/p>\n
