Con dieci opere\u00a0di\u00a0James Busby\u00a0(Rock Hill, SC, USA, 1973) e\u00a0quindici\u00a0di\u00a0Justin Samson\u00a0(Milford, CT, USA, 1979), il progetto espositivo intende presentare in Italia un nuovo gruppo di artisti internazionali (prevalentemente americani o residenti in USA, ma con una discreta presenza anche di europei) riuniti sotto la sigla\u00a0AFTERMODERNISM, da parte di uno dei pi\u00f9 grandi e singolari collezionisti del nostro tempo,\u00a0Hubert Neumann.\u00a0Ottantasettenne con una passione smodata per l\u2019arte contemporanea ereditata dal padre Morton, Neumann possiede una raccolta di oltre 2.600 opere (molte delle quali capolavori) del Cubismo, Astrattismo europeo, Scultura d\u2019avanguardia, Espressionismo Astratto americano, Pop Art e Graffitismo, di alcuni dei pi\u00f9 importanti artisti del XX secolo. Tra questi Picasso, L\u00e9ger, Mir\u00f3, Kandinsky, Kline, Giacometti, Dubuffet, Rauschenberg, Lichtenstein, Haring, Basquiat, Koons, solo per citarne alcuni.\u00a0L\u2019unico filo conduttore su cui si basa questa straordinaria collezione \u00e8 la conoscenza diretta degli artisti. Dotato di un fiuto eccezionale come il padre, Neumann ha continuato a selezionare, all\u2019albore dei loro esordi, artisti che sarebbero poi diventati di fama internazionale.\u00a0Negli ultimi anni la sua attenzione di collezionista si \u00e8 focalizzata su un gruppo di artisti (per lo pi\u00f9 generazione anni Settanta, Ottanta e Novanta), attualmente una quarantina in tutto, in cui Neumann ravvisa quella che per lui \u00e8 una vera e propria nuova corrente artistica su cui investire, definita appunto AFTERMODERNISM, di cui James Busby e Justin Samson sono i primi esponenti a essere presentati in Italia.\u00a0Il catalogo in mostra, a cura di Cesare Biasini Selvaggi ed edito per i tipi di Carlo Cambi editore, rappresenta il primo di una serie che sar\u00e0 dedicata agli artisti di AFTERMODERNISM.<\/p>\n

James Busby \u00e8 nato nel 1973 a Rock Hill (South Carolina) e vive e lavora a Chapin in South Carolina. Sue mostre si sono tenute in numerose gallerie e musei, ha partecipato a 40 mostre collettive negli Stati Uniti. Busby ha esposto inoltre in mostre a Londra, Parigi, Stoccolma e Instanbul. Ha partecipato a diverse fiere d\u2019arte a Miami, Houston, Stoccolma, Istanbul e New York City, tra cui l’International Armory Show di New York, Untitled Art Fair, Scope NY e Untitled Art Fair, Miami.<\/p>\n

Justin Samson\u00a0\u00e8 nato nel 1979 a Milford (Connecticut) e vive e lavora a New York. Nel 2003 consegue la laurea in Fine Arts presso la School of Visual Arts di New York. Samson ha collaborato con le gallerie John Connelly Presents e Kravets|Wehby Gallery ed \u00e8 attualmente rappresentato dalla Neumann Wolfson Art. Gli sono state dedicate diverse mostre personali e collettive.<\/p>\n
