Nasce nel 1980 a Virginia Beach, riceve il suo BA dalla George Washington University e il MFA dalla New York Academy of Art, dove ha anche completato una borsa di studio post-laurea nel 2005.
Kagan ha esposto in tutto il mondo in mostre collettive e personali, tra cui una prossima mostra presso Almine Rech a Londra (2022); Bill Brady Gallery, Miami, FL, USA (2018); e una recente mostra personale al Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, Virginia Beach, VA, USA (2019\/2020).
Il lavoro di Kagan \u00e8 nelle collezioni private della Hall Art Foundation, Reading, VT, USA; Maki Collection, Tokyo, Giappone; tra gli altri.
I progetti speciali includono una commissione di pittura da The Smithsonian, una collaborazione di abbigliamento con Pharrell Williams e il Billionaire Boys Club, e la copertina dell\u2019album Big TV di The White Lies che ha vinto un premio Art Vinyl per il miglior vinile artistico, 2013. Una recente monografia del suo lavoro \u00e8 stata pubblicata nel 2019 da ARTBOOK | DAP.<\/p>\n
