Dal 9 ottobre 2009 al 15 gennaio 2010 la Galleria Mucciaccia presenta, per la prima volta a Roma, la retrospettiva dell\u2019artista Jacques Villegl\u00e9<\/strong> dal titolo \u201cVacanze Romane\u201d, curata da Dominique Stella. In mostra 75 opere, d\u00e9collages d\u2019affiches<\/em>, che l\u2019artista ha creato a partire dagli anni Sessanta sino ad oggi. Cinque tele presentano inoltre il lavoro recente dell\u2019artista, ovvero i Segni Socio-Politici<\/em>, linguaggio con il quale propone un\u2019interpretazione anarchica e allo stesso tempo poetica, del mondo. Queste tele legano la mostra all\u2019inaugurazione del muro che Villegl\u00e9, in occasione dell\u2019evento romano, realizzer\u00e0 secondo la tecnica dei Segni Socio-Politici<\/em> alla M\u00e9diath\u00e8que <\/strong>del Centro Culturale Saint Louis de France<\/strong>. Il muro verr\u00e0 inaugurato sabato 10 ottobre 2009.<\/p>\n

Jacques Villegl\u00e9 \u00e8 uno dei maggiori esponenti degli Affichistes.<\/em> Questo movimento, cui parteciparono anche Raymond Hains, Fran\u00e7ois Dufr\u00eane e Mimmo Rotella, ha sviluppato, nell\u2019immediato dopoguerra, una pratica artistica post-cubista dalla quale \u00e8 scaturita una grande mutazione del linguaggio pittorico. Recuperando i supporti pubblicitari gi\u00e0 reinterpretati da lacerazioni o invecchiamenti del tempo, li rielabora con l\u2019intenzione di un gesto rabbioso, di negazione e di contestazione del gesto pittorico.<\/p>\n

Villegl\u00e9 nasce \u00e0 Quimper, in Bretagna, nel 1926. Nel 1945, all\u2019Accademia di Belli Arti di Rennes, incontra il bretone Raymond Hains e ne nasce un\u2019amicizia determinante per la carriera artistica di entrambi. Presto Villegl\u00e9 si trasferisce a Parigi dove ritrova l\u2019amico Hains, e dove incontra Colette Allendy. Sar\u00e0 proprio nella galleria di Colette Allendy, sfuggita ai dogmatismi degli astratti, che dieci anni dopo,\u00a0 nel 1957, verr\u00e0 organizzata la prima retrospettiva degli affiches<\/em> lacerati di Hains e Villegl\u00e9.<\/p>\n

I primi esperimenti di Villegl\u00e9 risalgono alla fine degli anni Quaranta, quando, insieme ad Hains, strappano manifesti. La ricerca dei due amici li avvicina al movimento Lettrista e favorisce l\u2019incontro di Hains e Villegl\u00e9 con Fran\u00e7ois Dufr\u00eane. I tre artisti costituiscono la base del gruppo degli Affichistes<\/em> di cui far\u00e0 parte anche Mimmo Rotella nel 1960.<\/p>\n

Nell\u2019aprile del 1960, a Milano, Pierre Restany redige il primo manifesto del Nouveau R\u00e9alisme <\/em>e organizza una mostra alla galleria Apollinaire, Bapt\u00eame de l’appropriation<\/em>, che sanziona lo stato di fatto che egli aveva intuito, all\u2019epoca della Biennale di Parigi, osservando le opere di Klein (nel suo periodo monocromatico), Tinguely, Hains, Dufr\u00eane e Villegl\u00e9. Al gruppo iniziale si aggiunge in un secondo momento anche Arman. Sei mesi dopo, il 27 ottobre, presso il domicilio di Yves Klein, avr\u00e0 luogo la firma della dichiarazione costitutiva del gruppo ampliato dei Nouveaux R\u00e9alistes<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Villegl\u00e9, tenacemente dedito al rispetto \u00abdel collettivo, creatore e anonimo\u00bb che porta alla realizzazione progressiva di un affiche<\/em> lacerato, risultato dei gesti accumulati e del passaggio del tempo, ha sempre difeso e rivendicato questo anonimato, rifiutando, per la loro logica costitutiva, di firmare le opere. L\u2019invenzione del Lacerato Anonimo<\/em>, nel febbraio del 1959, risponde a questo concetto, cui anche i suoi compagni aderiscono ma in modo meno radicale.<\/p>\n

Villegl\u00e9, da allora, realizza un lavoro di archeologia urbana, di classificazione delle immagini prelevate secondo tematiche che gli permettono di elaborare una vera e propria opera creativa, seguendo un criterio di selezione che egli stabilisce a seconda dell\u2019idea che vuole sviluppare.<\/p>\n

Questa idea, egli la chiama narrazione: un modo di raccontare la sua epoca, che egli esplora a partire dal 1965.<\/p>\n

Il suo lavoro di archeologia urbana diventa sistematico ed egli, da allora, intraprende un vero e proprio archivio del linguaggio della strada, orientando la sua produzione in funzione di tematiche a lui care. Conclude il suo ciclo di \u201crapine\u201d nel 2001 con gli ultimi manifesti dell\u2019Atelier d\u2019Aquitaine<\/em>. \u00c8 l\u2019inizio di una nuova serie tematica dedicata alla musica amplificata, La Techno<\/em>. Con questa serie di manifesti, che annunciano i concerti dei gruppi musicali itineranti nella provincia, Villegl\u00e9 costruisce dei ponti fra discipline diverse e anche fra generazioni diverse. \u00abUna delle mie ambizioni \u00e8 quella di essere il testimone attivo di un\u2019umanit\u00e0 ricca di contraddizioni. \u00c8 l\u2019anonimo della strada che interviene sui riflessi della cultura dominante.\u00bb<\/p>\n

On display 75 works, d\u00e9collages d\u2019affiches<\/em>, that the artist has created since the Sixties until today. Five paintings also feature recent work of the artist, or the Signs Socio-Political language with which he proposes an anarchist and at the same time poetic vision of the world. These canvases link the exhibition at the opening of the wall that Villegl\u00e9, at the event in Rome, realized according to the technique of Segni Socio-Political M\u00e9diath\u00e8que at the Cultural Center Saint Louis de France. The wall will be inaugurated Saturday, October 10, 2009. Jacques Villegl\u00e9 is one of the leaders of Affichistes. This movement, which was also attended by Raymond Hains, Fran\u00e7ois Dufr\u00eane and Mimmo Rotella, has developed, after the war, a post-cubist art practice that has resulted in a great change of the pictorial language. Recovering media advertising he reworks them with the intention of an angry gesture, denial and contesting the painterly gesture. Villegl\u00e9 was born in Quimper, in Brittany, in 1926. In 1945, at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rennes, meets Breton Raymond Hains and they become friends and this friendship will be decisive for the career of both. Villegl\u00e9 soon moved to Paris where he finds his friend Hains, and where he meets Colette Allendy. It will be in the gallery Colette Allendy that, ten years later, in 1957, will take place the first retrospective of the torn posters of Hains and Villegl\u00e9. The first experiments of Villegl\u00e9 date back to the late Forties, when, along with Hains, they teared posters. In April of 1960, in Milan, Pierre Restany writes the first manifesto of the New Realism and organized an exhibition at the Galleria Apollinaire, Bapt\u00eame of the appropriation, which sanctions the state of affairs that he had realized at the time of the Paris Biennale , observing the works of Klein (in his time monochrome), Tinguely, Hains, Dufr\u00eane and Villegl\u00e9. He calls this idea the storytelling: a way to talk about his age that he explores since 1965. His work of urban archeology becomes systematic and he, since then, embarks on a veritable archive of the language of the streets, directing his production according to themes dear to him. He concluded his round of \"robbery\" in 2001 with the latest posters of the Atelier d'Aquitaine. It is the beginning of a new thematic series dedicated to amplified music, Techno.
