Tiffanie Delune

Tiffanie Delune, nata Parigi, è un’artista visiva multimediale. Vive a Lisbona, Portogallo. Se inizialmente la sua pratica traeva spunto da traumi personali ed esperienze vissute da bambina, in seguito si è spontaneamente imbarcata in una sorta di “vagabondaggio”.  Infatti, Delune intreccia apparizioni nei sogni e ricordi di viaggio con simboli della sua famiglia meticcia, accenni di femminilità e flussi di spiritualità. Navigando tra la parte di sé più oscura e quella ricca di luce, movimento ed energia, Delune è interessata alla magia della narrazione che stimola conversazioni ed evoca emozioni.

Approcciando la propria arte con giocosità ed una curiosità intuitiva, l’artista crea opere stratificate su tele di cotone, lino e piccoli pezzi di carta, invitando ad un dialogo tra la dimensione ed il soggetto. Liberandosi da ogni costrizione nella scelta dei materiali, Delune si dedica alla ricerca di trame, significati e senso di memoria – dall’acrilico, pastelli e carta ai glitter, fili, rotoli di carta igienica, chiavi, borse e fiori secchi. In un mondo conflittuale che risulta profondamente saturo, l’artista pone un’enfasi particolare sulla condivisione di una narrazione mista e non filtrata, in tutta la sua profondità e autenticità.

Autodidatta, si dedica completamente alla pratica artistica tramite rituali giornalieri e sfide creative. Il suo lavoro è stato esibito a Londra, Parigi, Accra, Lagos, New York, Los Angeles e in Svizzera;  pubblicato su Forbes, BBC Radio London, The Evening Standard, The Financial Times e Frieze Magazine; inoltre, le sue opere si trovano nelle collezioni permanenti della Fondation Gandur pour l’Art di Ginevra, Svizzera, e anche presso la New-York Presbytarian Hospital for Women and Newborns, New York, e The Women’s Art Collection, Murray Edwards College, Cambridge, Regno Unito.
