From 31 January to 1 March 2025, Rome is preparing to welcome the visionary art of Jan Fabre, one of the greatest innovators on the contemporary scene, with an exhibition that, for the first time in Italy, brings together the two most recent chapters of his artistic production: Songs of the Canaries (A Tribute to Emiel Fabre and Robert Stroud) and Songs of the Gypsies (A Tribute to Django Reinhardt and Django Gennaro Fabre). The exhibition is curated by Dimitri Ozerkov.<\/p>\n

Visual artist, theatrical creator and author, capable of fusing artistic tradition, philosophy, science and spirituality in a single personal creative universe, Fabre brings to Mucciaccia Gallery in Rome a corpus of works that traverse the essence of human thought, the fragility of life and the transformative power of art, \u2018playing\u2019 with the performativity of materials, to explore existential, spiritual and scientific themes through a constant dialogue between body, mind and matter.<\/p>\n

Mucciaccia Gallery is delighted to present the exhibition T\u00eate-\u00e0-t\u00eate in its gallery in Rome, curated by Catherine Loewe which explores the fascinating world of artist couples where love, life and art fuse ignited by a shared passion for each other and for their work. The exhibition brings together eight internationally acclaimed contemporary artist couples, featuring an array of multi- disciplinary work, including photography, textiles, sculpture, painting and digital art. As the title which refers to the French expression \u201chead to head\u2019 suggests, the exhibition offers a rare glimpse into the dynamics behind artist relationships, revealed through intimate conversations with them. With works displayed in dialogue with each other, the exhibition explores how the creative interplay between these couples has impacted their practices, whether working individually or in collaboration. In an ever-evolving cultural landscape and rapidly changing world, these modern- day duos navigate the complexities of relationships while simultaneously pushing the boundaries of artistic expression in the 21st century<\/p>\n
