Moreover, the drawings created by the artist with his own blood, the vital fluid has been used with clever technical mastery to tell the gestation of his son Django.<\/p>\n Art is the privileged tool to represent life, its genesis and its mystery, the opposites, harmony and beauty, that in Jan Fabre\u2019s meticulous research become artworks with a deep allegorical meaning.<\/p>\n There is an ancient bond that links blood to coral. Ovid in the Metamorphoses narrates the mythical birth from Medusa\u2019s blood. The resemblance of the shape of the coral branch to the mesh of blood vessels is clearly visible.<\/p>\n The artist\u2019s vision merges the long symbolic tradition of Coral with the concept of \u201cCaritas\u201d, a Latin word etymologically coming from carus, beloved. It is a concept that exists in all cultures of the world from East to West, uniting all human beings in solidarity and love, as an engine that generates and preserves life.<\/p>\n Raw flesh element links coral sculptures to blood drawings, from which the sweetness of an intimate and personal feeling emerges. The artist expresses the emergence of humankind through his unborn son\u2019s ultrasounds, inviting the viewer to meditate on human vulnerabilities and needs and to observe the world as an aggregations of meanings that resonate with each other, of stories that hand down and melt over time. The tension present in his works and the wonder its are able to raise, are an infusion of spirituality that harmonizes contrasts. Lives and works in Rome.<\/p>\n Pintaldi is one of the top Italian contemporary artists and has seen great success at the 54th Venice Biennale (2011) and numerous national and international exhibitions, including the Russian Academy of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg and MACRO (Museum of Contemporary Art) Rome.<\/p>\n Since 1991, Pintaldi works following a personal technique which is unique in the world, he begins to paint with only three colours, red, green and blue (RGB) on a black canvas, placed together in the same way in which the pixels are arranged to create an image on the television screen. The subject-matters are drawn from popular culture, TV programmes, cartoons, Kubrick movies.<\/p>\n Cristiano Pintaldi\u2019s pictorial research is based on the reconstruction of visual space obtained through a procedure similar to that of the video imaging. His paintings are in fact painted according to the scrambling logic that is typical of electronic images. The elementary units of information displayed on the screen is the pixel, with dots of red, green and blue colour. The pixels that Pintaldi reproduce on the canvas are painted by hand using spray paint. Pintaldi\u2019s work represent the new type of vision stimulated by virtual reality, often more present and pervasive than the “real”, highlighting that digital image is reducible to pixels. A pictorial work that requires extreme precision and a time of realisation paradoxically long compared to the speed with which pixels build the image in the video space.<\/p>\n Pintaldi\u2019s first solo exhibition Trasmissioni is in 1991 in Rome at Galleria 2RC, curated by Luigi Scialanga. His exhibition Avvistamenti follows in 1992, always in Rome, at Galleria Sprovieri curated by Achille Bonito Oliva. He exhibits his works in major museums in Rome; MAXXI, Macro Testaccio, Galleria Nazionale d\u2019 Arte Moderna.
