ROME | MUCCIACCIA GALLERY
31 January – 1 March 2025
From 31 January to 1 March 2025, Rome is preparing to welcome the visionary art of Jan Fabre, one of the greatest innovators on the contemporary scene, with an exhibition that, for the first time in Italy, brings together the two most recent chapters of his artistic production: Songs of the Canaries (A Tribute to Emiel Fabre and Robert Stroud) and Songs of the Gypsies (A Tribute to Django Reinhardt and Django Gennaro Fabre). The exhibition is curated by Dimitri Ozerkov.
Visual artist, theatrical creator and author, capable of fusing artistic tradition, philosophy, science and spirituality in a single personal creative universe, Fabre brings to Mucciaccia Gallery in Rome a corpus of works that traverse the essence of human thought, the fragility of life and the transformative power of art, ‘playing’ with the performativity of materials, to explore existential, spiritual and scientific themes through a constant dialogue between body, mind and matter.
